The launch of a $75 million Hilton Garden Inn project is set to reshape the tourism industry in the capital city, according to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. He described the investment as a pivotal development for the nation’s capital, asserting that it highlights Fiji’s emerging status as a prime destination for investment.
“This project signifies a major advancement for our economy, promising job creation, and positioning Suva as a key destination for both tourists and business visitors,” the Prime Minister stated. He urged others to draw inspiration from such investments, which he deemed crucial for the country’s future growth.
The hotel, scheduled for completion in August 2025, will boast 178 rooms and offer high-quality facilities, including a gym, swimming pool, restaurant, and bar. This endeavor marks the initial phase of a broader initiative, with plans for a waterfront retail development to further enhance Suva’s attractiveness.
