A fire broke out at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday in a storeroom located at the back of the house. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident. Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, stated that the fire was swiftly contained and extinguished, with no injuries reported.
“None of the guest rooms were impacted,” she noted. “As a precautionary measure, a small number of guests were evacuated from adjacent rooms.”
Osborne reaffirmed the resort’s commitment to upholding rigorous safety and security standards to ensure the well-being of guests and team members as a top priority.
Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa, confirmed that there were no reports of casualties and that they are awaiting the results of the investigation.
