Hilton Expands with $75 Million Project in Fiji

Paul Hutton, the area vice president and head of Australasia at Hilton Asia Pacific, announced the addition of Hilton Garden Inn Fiji, developed by Carpenters Group Fiji, to the company’s expanding portfolio across Australasia. The initial phase of the $75 million project was inaugurated on Thursday by Biman Prasad, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

Situated along the Suva foreshore, the first phase is projected to be finished by August 2025. Hutton noted that this new establishment will complement Hilton’s existing properties in Fiji, which include the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa and the DoubleTree Hilton Sonaisali in Nadi.

“This latest project represents the 60th Hilton Garden Inn currently in development, and we plan to triple the brand’s footprint in Australasia over the next five years,” he stated. Once completed, the Hilton Garden Inn Suva will offer 178 rooms, a Restaurant and Bar, a gym, and a pool, marking a significant waterfront development with over 40,000 square feet dedicated to retail, entertainment, and dining, alongside more than 50,000 square meters allocated for commercial and hotel space.

Hutton emphasized that Hilton is one of the fastest-growing brands, currently operating over 1,000 Hilton Garden Inns across 62 countries worldwide.
