Paul Hutton, the AREA Vice President and Head of Australasia at Hilton Asia Pacific, has announced the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn Fiji to its growing portfolio in Australasia, in collaboration with Carpenters Group Fiji. The first phase of this $75 million project was officially launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Biman Prasad, on Thursday.
Situated along the Suva foreshore, the initial phase is expected to be completed by August 2025. Hutton highlighted that this new development will complement Hilton’s existing properties in Fiji, which include the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa and the DoubleTree Hilton Sonaisali in Nadi.
“This project signifies the launch of 60 Hilton Garden Inn locations currently underway, and we aim to triple the brand’s presence across Australasia within the next five years,” he stated. Upon completion, the Hilton Garden Inn Suva will feature 178 rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym, and a pool. Additionally, it will include over 40,000 square feet dedicated to retail, entertainment, and dining, alongside more than 50,000 square meters of commercial and hotel space.
“Hilton is one of our fastest-growing brands, with over 1,000 Hilton Garden Inn hotels operating across 62 countries worldwide,” Hutton added.
