Hilton Asia Pacific’s area vice president and head of Australasia, Paul Hutton, announced the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn Fiji, developed by Carpenters Group Fiji, to its growing hotel portfolio in Australasia. The initial phase of this $75 million project was unveiled by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Biman Prasad on Thursday.
Situated along the Suva foreshore, this phase is slated for completion by August 2025. Hutton noted that this new establishment will complement existing Hilton properties in Fiji, such as the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa and the DoubleTree Hilton Sonaisali in Nadi.
“This project represents the 60th Hilton Garden Inn currently in development, and we anticipate tripling the brand’s footprint in Australasia over the next five years,” Hutton stated.
Once finished, the Hilton Garden Inn Suva will offer 178 rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym, and a pool, marking the first waterfront development that includes over 40,000 square feet for retail, entertainment, and dining, alongside more than 50,000 square meters designated for commercial and hotel spaces.
Hutton highlighted that Hilton is experiencing rapid growth, currently boasting over 1,000 Hilton Garden Inns in 62 countries worldwide.
