Jonathan Hill is gearing up for a critical match as he prepares to face Fijian Champion Sitiveni Nawai for the Super Welterweight title in the much-anticipated South Pacific Boxing Promotion. The fight is scheduled for October 26th at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. Hill has been undergoing rigorous training and acknowledges that the path leading up to this fight has been challenging.
“Training has been hard, and it sucks but I need all this training if I want to win,” Hill stated, highlighting his determination. He has demonstrated significant dedication throughout his preparations, recognizing that this moment is pivotal for his career. Despite the grueling nature of his regimen, Hill attributes his discipline and willpower to helping him push through moments of exhaustion.
“Sometimes laziness overcomes me, but then the discipline and the will to win this fight kick in, so I jump back to my feet,” he explained. The event will also showcase three world titles and feature several international fighters, which adds to both the pressure and prestige surrounding Hill’s championship effort.
“The tournament is big, with boxers competing for three world titles and numerous international competitors. I believe it will be televised internationally as well, so that is a big deal,” Hill expressed with enthusiasm. A win against Nawai could represent a significant milestone in Hill’s career, positioning him closer to international acclaim and potentially leading to overseas title fights.
“If I win this fight, I will become the champion of Fiji and perhaps aim for an overseas title next,” he reflected, clearly outlining his future aspirations.
