High-Stakes Showdowns Ahead at Fiji Secondary School Football Championships

The Digicel Fiji Secondary School football championship is set for an exciting series of quarter-finals and semi-finals. In the U15 semi-finals, Labasa College is scheduled to face Baulevu High, while AD Patel will go head-to-head with Tavua College today.

Defending champions Labasa College are maintaining their strong performance in the U19 category, having secured a place in the finals by defeating Korovuto 2-1 in their last pool match yesterday. Notably, top contenders Xavier College and Rishikul Sanatan College have unexpectedly been eliminated from the tournament.

In the quarter-finals, Vashist Muni College will clash with Tabia Sanatan College in the first match, promising an intense battle as both teams aim for a spot in the semifinals. The second quarter-final will see Sigatoka Andra compete against Tilak High, a match that is anticipated to be closely contested due to both teams’ robust displays so far.

Labasa College, recognized for their strong defensive strategy, is set to challenge Natabua High in the third quarter-final. Meanwhile, Labasa Sangam will take on SVC in the final quarter-final match.
