Residents in the Central and Western Divisions should prepare for traffic disruptions and delays as the Police conduct escort duties for the State visit of the President of India, Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu. The visit is scheduled from Monday, August 5th to Wednesday, August 7th, 2024.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu assured that there will be no full road closures during this period. ACP Driu urged motorists to cooperate by moving aside or making space for the official motorcade upon hearing the escorting police vehicles.
He emphasized that efforts will be made to minimize traffic disruptions and requested patience and cooperation from the public during the three-day visit.
