Residents in the Central and Western Divisions should anticipate traffic disruptions and delays owing to Police traffic and escort duties during the State visit of the President of India, Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu.
The visit is scheduled from Monday, August 5th to Wednesday, August 7th, 2024.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized that there will be no full road closures during these days.
ACP Driu urged motorists to cooperate by moving aside or making space for the official motorcade when the escorting police vehicles are heard.
He assured that efforts are being made to minimize traffic disruptions, and requested patience and cooperation from the public during the three-day period.
