Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and the Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan intends to pursue a career in national and international development with an organization based in Fiji. With over 20 years of service in senior positions within the Fijian Government, Karan has held notable roles including High Commissioner to India, Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister, and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and the Sugar Industry.
