Former Fiji Link Chief Executive Officer Shaenaz Voss and former Senior Security Officer Sharun Ali are currently under investigation by the Fiji Police Force. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime, ACP Mesake Waqa, confirmed that the two are being questioned regarding allegations of the unlawful transport of firearms and ammunition on domestic flights.
Both Voss and Ali were observed departing from the Nadi Police Station yesterday. Prior to this, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions had withdrawn the charge against Voss last week due to non-compliance with the requirements of the airline’s security program. Voss faced charges for the unlawful carriage of firearms on a flight from Nausori to Labasa Airport back in 2018.
