One juvenile and three men charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl have denied the allegations and will continue to remain out on bail. The individuals appeared before Justice Pita Bulamainaivalu on Thursday to respond to charges brought forth by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The juvenile faces one count of rape, while the three men each face four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. Prosecutor Zenith Zunaid informed the court that two of the men and the juvenile had provided full admissions during a video recorded interview, whereas the fourth accused acknowledged being present but denied involvement in the crime.

The four are scheduled to appear again on November 24 for their first pre-trial conference.
