Hibiscus Festival Shines with Star-Studded Judging Panel!

Two former queens of the Hibiscus Festival are among the six judges for this year’s event set to begin in Suva on Saturday. Anne Dunn, who was crowned Miss Hibiscus and Miss Pacific Islands in 2016, and Patricia Naisara, Miss Hibiscus 2007, will head the judging panel. They will be joined by Kamal Haer, Executive Manager of Strategy, Alliances and Loyalty at Fiji Airways, Rabih Yazbek, Country Head of ANZ Bank (Fiji), Robert Thompson, Executive Director of Regions for Tourism Fiji, and Viliame Leqa, Chairman of Yatu Lau Company.

The 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival will kick off with a parade at 4 PM, featuring a performance by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces band. Attendees will see nine beautiful contestants as they make their way through the city starting from the Flea Market, ultimately concluding at the Hibiscus Village along the Suva Civic Foreshore.

His Excellency, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, will officially inaugurate the 68th edition of the festival at 7 PM, followed by traditional entertainment and the introduction of the contestants.
