A 40-year-old man tragically died while attempting to help a homeowner whose house was on fire in Nadroumai Village, Nadroga, yesterday. The man was in the process of removing belongings from one of the rooms when he reportedly collapsed. He was quickly taken to Sigatoka Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities are conducting an investigation, and a post-mortem examination is set to determine the cause of death. The Fiji Police Force has noted an increase in fire incidents recently and is advising homeowners to take proactive measures to identify and mitigate fire hazards in their properties.
