Quick response from the National Fire Authority (NFA) prevented a major disaster in the city center as a fire broke out on the second floor of a shop on Raojibhai Patel Street. Eyewitnesses reported the flames around 11:30 this morning. By noon, the NFA had managed to control the fire and avert further damage to nearby structures.
