A 40-year-old man tragically died while attempting to help a homeowner whose house was on fire in Nadroumai Village, Nadroga, yesterday. The victim was in the process of removing items from one of the rooms when he reportedly collapsed. He was immediately taken to Sigatoka Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death. Recently, there have been multiple fire incidents reported, prompting the Fiji Police Force to advise homeowners to implement precautionary measures by regularly checking for fire hazards both inside and outside their properties.
