The Fiji Roads Authority has issued a public advisory regarding multiple road closures across the Western Division due to ongoing heavy rainfall. As of February 24, 2026, several routes have been reported as flooded and are currently inaccessible to all traffic. The affected roads include:

– Mission Road, Sigatoka
– Tilivalevu Road and Bypass, Sigatoka
– Nadelei Road, Tavua – Crossing No.4 and No.5
– Naseyani Road, Tavua – Crossing No.1 (Vitivanua Crossing)
– Vunisamaloa Road, Ba
– Nadhari Road, Ba
– Tomuka Road, Ba

Authorities have cautioned that persistent local downpours may lead to flash flooding in low-lying and vulnerable areas. In light of these conditions, motorist and road users are advised to remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution while traveling.

This advisory serves as an important reminder of the impact of weather conditions on public infrastructure, urging residents to stay informed and prioritize safety during adverse weather events.
