Hello, fabulous Fijians, and welcome to your weather update, where we dive into the delightful drama of weather chaos. Grab your umbrellas and let’s make some rain dance!
As we speak, a hefty heavy rain alert is feeling quite at home over the entire Fiji group. Yes, it’s the kind of rain your laundry hates, but your plants absolutely adore. For those eager to stay updated, check out the Special Weather Bulletin on Heavy Rain available on the thrilling website of our National Weather Forecasting Centre.
Now, let’s break down what Mother Nature has planned:
Today, we’re in for occasional rain, and it’s not just any rain, but the “hey, I hope you brought your boat” kind of rain. Thunderstorms are putting on quite the show, especially from Sigatoka to Korolevu, rolling through Serua-Namosi, Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, the stunning Kadavu, along with Taveuni and some nearby friends. Cloudy vibes will hang around with some showers over southern Bua and the ever-elusive Cakaudrove.
Tomorrow, expect more of the same! Occasional rain will be affectionate and heavy at times, delivering a few thunderstorms to really spice things up. Winds will start off moderate to fresh from the southeast but will take a turn to become a bit more unpredictable from the north and southeast, just to keep you on your toes. And don’t forget about those moderate to rough seas—perfect for a dramatic wave selfie!
Fast forward to Monday, we’re still in occasional rain territory with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms, so keep those raincoats on standby. Winds will turn gentle from the north, as if trying to whisper sweet nothings, and the seas settle, becoming modestly moderate.
Now, for some local forecasts to sharpen those umbrellas:
**For Navua, Suva, and Nausori:** Expect rain to surprise you, with a min of 23 and max of 28 degrees. For Monday, showers will be more polite.
**In Sigatoka and the Coral Coast:** Rain will come to play, with similar temps. Keep that umbrella handy!
**For our friends in Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba:** You’ll greet a min of 23 and max of 31 degrees tomorrow, with evening showers looking to crash the party.
**Over at Tavua and Rakiraki:** Expect a slight drizzle of mischief and peaks of sun with a temp ranging from 23 to 31 degrees.
**For Yasawa/Mamanuca:** A cloud-spotting adventure sprinkled with afternoon showers awaits you, keeping the umbrellas on standby!
**In Labasa and Savusavu:** You’ll be getting a mixed bag of sunshine and showers with a max teetering around 29 to 31 degrees.
**Taveuni is set for some rain drama with temps of 23 to 28!**
**Finally, in glorious Rotuma:** It seems the sun has taken a fancy to you, basking in mostly fine weather, with a max of 32 degrees tomorrow.
So there you have it, folks! Keep those raincoats at the ready and stay safe out there. Let’s embrace the weather like we embrace a good cup of cocoa—warm and with a splash of excitement!
