Weather Alert!
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve got a party of clouds crashing into the southern and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu, and surrounding islands – and they’re bringing heavy rain along for the ride! Make sure those umbrellas are prepped and ready.
It’s a bit stormy out there as an east to southeast wind flow sweeps over the group. There’s a sneaky trough of low pressure inching closer, promising to sprinkle the southern and eastern areas with an excess of showers starting later tonight. And believe us, these clouds are not here for a brief visit!
So, what’s on the forecast menu?
For today, expect a cloudy experience with a side of brief showers over places like Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua, and friends, along with the usual suspects like Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, Kadavu, and the neighboring islands. The good news? It’ll only get wetter from here! Frequent showers are just around the corner.
On the brighter side, if you find yourself elsewhere today, it’ll be mostly fine – at least until the isolated afternoon or evening showers decide to crash your sunny vibes. Keep your eyes peeled for possible afternoon or evening thunderstorms – nothing like a little natural fireworks to spice things up!
As we look ahead to tomorrow, original cloud groupings will still be taking the limelight with occasional showers over the same popular spots, all while providing some spectacular heavy falls and thunderstorms. Please don’t forget your raincoat as moderate southeast winds will be blowing fresh at times, and the seas could become a bit of a ride.
The outlook for Sunday looks similar, folks. You guessed it! Occasional rain with a chance of heavy falls and thunderstorms across most areas. Sounds like Mother Nature has a rainy weekend planned for us!
Specific places, you ask?
For Navua, Suva & Nausori, expect a mix of cloudy periods and frequent showers today — peaking at a lovely 30 degrees. Tomorrow, let’s just say you might want to bring an ark for those occasional showers!
Moving on to Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, enjoy some sunshine with a high of 33 today, but don’t let your guard down– isolated showers will try to sneak in this afternoon.
In Tavua and Rakiraki, you’ve got a date with fine weather, but keep an eye out for those crafty afternoon showers.
As for Rotuma, you’ll enjoy mainly fine weather with a dash of moderate southeast winds — perfect for a mellow day with a max of 32.
So there you have it! A forecast sprinkled with a touch of humor but definitely soaked in reality. Stay dry, and don’t forget the galoshes!
