Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Center in Nadi—because who doesn’t love a little weather drama?

Attention, residents of the Northern Division and Northern Lau Group: the heavy rain alert is still hanging around, refusing to leave the party. This isn’t just any shower; it’s a full-on waterworks extravaganza, so grab your rubber duckies and prepare for a wet adventure!

What’s happening? A mischievous trough of low pressure has decided to party it up in our northeast backyard, and it’s got showers, clouds, and a whole lot of drama planned for later today. So, what’s in store for the Fiji group until midnight tonight? Glad you asked!

We can expect a rather cloudy day, possibly with enough showers in the Northern Division and Northern Lau to have you considering building a boat. Rain will begin to pick up—think of it as the sky’s way of helping you practice for a late-night swim.

On Eastern Viti Levu, a mix of cloud, brief showers, and strategizing how to dodge raindrops will be the name of the game, with frequent showers rolling in as the day progresses. Lucky areas elsewhere will get in on the action too, but expect only the occasional spatter, as if the skies are just testing their waterworks.

For those in Navua, Suva, and Nausori, prepare for a bit of a water ballet this afternoon, with potential heavy falls and thunderstorm drama starring you as the lead role. The temperatures will play nice too, with a minimum of 22°C and a maximum of 30°C to keep everyone comfortable, assuming you’re cozy inside.

If you’re headed to Sigatoka or the Coral Coast, you’re in for a fine day—at least until those sneaky afternoon or evening showers tiptoe in. High fives all around for a day that will see temperatures reaching up to 31°C!

Oh, and don’t think anywhere is safe from the cheeky rain. Yes, even the brilliant sunshine in Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba has its limits, with possible afternoon or evening showers lurking around the corner. Expect things to heat up to a maximum of 31°C, unless the rain hijacks your vacation plans.

Flash flooding is a strong contender for today’s dramatic twists, so keep those life jackets handy! As for tomorrow, Thursday, it seems like the rain will continue its game of hide and seek, with scattered thunderstorms showing up to keep things interesting—minimizing the risk of drying out those swimsuits too soon!

Stay tuned, stay dry (or as dry as possible), and don’t forget—every good storm has its silver lining… even if that lining is just a puddle you can splash in later!
