Currently, there’s a mischievous trough of low pressure making itself at home, bringing along some uninvited clouds and rain to the northern and eastern regions. Looking ahead to midnight tonight across Fiji, expect occasional rain and the possibility of a few thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and those smaller nearby islands like Lau and the Lomaiviti group. It seems the rain will ease to showers later today—think of it as the clouds taking a breather.
In Nadi-Lautoka-Ba-Tavua-Rakiraki, we’re looking at cloudy periods mixed with some showers, almost like undercooked cake layers—soft but not quite right! Elsewhere, a sprinkle of fine weather will make a surprise appearance, but be ready for afternoon or evening thunderstorms complete with heavy rainfall.
