The Health Minister, Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu, has announced that renovation projects at health facilities are being funded by the government. He explained that the minor works currently underway are financed through the ministry’s budgetary allocation. During his recent tour of the northern regions, Dr. Lalabalavu aimed to listen to the challenges faced by nurses and explore potential solutions.
The minister emphasized the importance of witnessing the progress at health facilities in the Bua and Cakaudrove subdivisions firsthand. He acknowledged the significant improvements that healthcare workers have made toward upgrading the infrastructure using their own resources.
Dr. Lalabalavu highlighted specific examples of progress, including enhancements to the nursing station in Daria, and noted that additional health facilities are also in the process of being developed.
