The Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services, Hon. Penioni Ravunawa, conducted a site visit to the Ministry’s Command Centres in Nadi and Sigatoka today, prompted by the recent declaration of a dengue outbreak in the Western Division. The visit was intended to provide the Minister with a direct insight into the operational response to the health crisis.

During his visit, Hon. Ravunawa engaged with frontline teams to identify challenges they are facing and to discuss strategies for improving the efficiency of the Command Centres in managing the outbreak. “These centres are the nerve of our dengue response efforts. Seeing the operations firsthand allows us to identify areas where we can strengthen support, improve resources, and ensure quick, effective responses to protect our communities,” he remarked.
