Renovation projects at health facilities are being supported by government funding, according to Health Minister Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu. He explained that the current minor works observed are financed through the ministry’s budget.

Dr. Lalabalavu emphasized that part of his recent tour in the northern region was designed to gain direct insight into the challenges faced by nurses and to discuss how the ministry can address these issues. He highlighted the importance of visiting the facilities in the Bua and Cakaudrove subdivisions to assess their development firsthand.

The minister acknowledged that healthcare workers have made notable progress in enhancing infrastructure using their internal resources, illustrating this with improvements at the nursing station in Daria. He also mentioned that other health facilities are undergoing similar developments.
