Healing Crusade or Meds? Health Ministry Weighs In!

The Health Ministry has stated that it will respect the decisions of individuals with diagnosed medical conditions participating in a healing crusade scheduled for tomorrow in Suva.

In light of criticism on social media regarding the event, the ministry released a statement affirming that it is a faith-based gathering, emphasizing the importance of religious freedom for all residents in Fiji.

The ministry recommended that individuals undergoing treatment should continue with their prescribed medications to fully benefit from their medical care. They also strongly cautioned against discontinuing any prescribed treatment without prior consultation with a healthcare professional.

For those uncertain about the continuation of their treatment, the ministry advised reaching out to their medical team, general practitioner, or local health facility for guidance and support.
