Healing Crusade or Healing Crisis? Health Ministry Weighs In

The Health Ministry has announced that it will respect the wishes of individuals with diagnosed medical conditions who plan to attend a healing crusade in Suva tomorrow. In light of online criticism regarding the event, the ministry released a statement underscoring that it is a faith-based gathering and acknowledges the right of all Fijians to practice their faith.

The ministry emphasizes, however, that individuals diagnosed with medical conditions who are undergoing treatment should continue their prescribed medications to fully benefit from their treatment. Additionally, it strongly advises those on prescribed medications not to discontinue their treatment without first consulting a healthcare professional.

For individuals uncertain about their treatment plans, the ministry encourages them to reach out to their healthcare providers, family doctors, or local health facilities for guidance and support.
