The Health Ministry has announced that it will respect the choices of individuals with diagnosed medical conditions who choose to attend a healing crusade in Suva tomorrow. This statement comes in light of criticism regarding the event on social media.
The ministry clarified that the event is faith-based, affirming that every person in Fiji is entitled to practice their faith freely. Nonetheless, they advised individuals with medical conditions who are currently undergoing treatment to continue their prescribed therapies for maximum benefit.
Furthermore, the ministry emphasized that those on prescribed treatments should not discontinue their medications without consulting a healthcare professional first. They encouraged anyone uncertain about their treatment to seek guidance from their medical team, family doctors, or local health facilities.
