The Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has stated that the performance of teachers in schools is monitored by the heads of those institutions. In response to a query from Opposition MP Hem Chand, Radrodro emphasized that school heads are well-qualified and understand the core teaching and learning plans they implement within their schools, regardless of their distance from major centers.

Radrodro highlighted the significant role that school heads play in supporting both teachers and students in their respective environments. He outlined the teaching hour requirements, noting that early childhood educators are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, while primary school teachers should have 35 hours, and secondary school instructors should have 37.5 hours per week.

Addressing concerns about the shortage of teachers in specific subject areas, Radrodro referred to this as an inherited issue related to Hem Chand’s previous leadership in the human resources department. He assured that the current government is actively working to resolve the teacher shortages as required by the schools.
