National striker Sairusi Nalaubu netted a hat-trick as Lautoka triumphed over Nadi with a score of 3-2 in an exciting Round 14 match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League held at Prince Charles Park.
Nalaubu opened the scoring for Lautoka early in the game, but hosts Nadi equalized through a penalty taken by William Valentine. Towards the end of the first half, Lautoka was awarded a penalty, which Nalaubu converted to give his team a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Nalaubu secured his hat-trick, solidifying Lautoka’s advantage, although Nadi managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from young star Apolosi Seru.
With this victory, Flick Hygiene Lautoka remains in third place with 25 points, while Nadi sits in fourth place with 21 points.
