Groundbreaking Solar Venture Set to Transform Energy in Fiji

A significant solar energy project has been established between Vision Energy Solutions, a solar power service provider, and wholesaler CJ Patel and Company Pte, aiming to produce around 632.84 megawatt-hours of electricity each year.

Launched on July 22, 2024, the ambitious project intends to set up a 380.16kW solar capacity system, which is projected to yield approximately 632.84MWh annually. This initiative is expected to result in estimated utility savings of 563.50MWh per year, alongside a reduction in annual carbon emissions by 224.26 tonnes.

Sanjesh Prasad, CEO of Vision Energy Solutions, noted that the partnership with CJ Patel was the culmination of two years of in-depth discussions and evaluations. “We are excited to embark on this journey and the opportunities it presents,” he expressed.

The initiative aligns with Vision Energy’s mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions and uphold environmental responsibility, focusing on the advancement of renewable energy sources.

“This contract symbolizes more than a mere business agreement; it signifies the start of a significant collaboration,” stated Mr. Prasad. “We foresee considerable potential for future projects that will benefit both our companies and foster a sustainable future for Fiji and beyond.”

CJ Patel finalized the contract earlier this month, marking a key step in its commitment to renewable energy efforts.
