Grand Pacific Hotel Welcomes New Culinary Leaders!

The Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva has announced two new appointments: Kanokwan Imprasittichai as executive chef and Taione Masuwale as director of Food & Beverage.

Kanokwan Imprasittichai, originally from Thailand, brings 13 years of extensive experience in the culinary field, having worked at prestigious hotels around the world, such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and Bistro by Wolfgang Puck in Sydney. With a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and specialized training in Traditional Thai Cooking and Asian cuisine, she will manage all culinary operations at the hotel and lead a skilled team of chefs to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.

Taione Masuwale, a Fijian native, joins GPH with significant experience, most recently serving as Central Support Manager at Sourdough South Ltd in the UK. With over 18 years in the food and beverage sector, he has worked at several well-known venues in the UK, including All Bar One, Turtle Bay, and Cóte Brasserie. In his new role, Masuwale will oversee the Food and Beverage department, prioritizing improved service quality and guest satisfaction.

Lachlan Walker, Portfolio General Manager for IHG Hotels & Resorts at FNPF-owned hotels, expressed confidence in the new appointments, stating that Imprasittichai’s culinary talent and Masuwale’s operational expertise will enhance the dining experience at GPH, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to excellence and creating memorable moments for guests.
