The Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva has announced the appointments of Kanokwan Imprasittichai as executive chef and Taione Masuwale as director of Food & Beverage.
Ms. Imprasittichai, hailing from Thailand, has a distinguished 13-year career that includes prestigious roles at renowned establishments such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and the Bistro by Wolfgang Puck in Sydney. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and specialized training in Traditional Thai Cooking and Asian Cookery, she will oversee the hotel’s culinary operations, managing a team of chefs and ensuring top-notch food quality and presentation.
Mr. Masuwale, a native of Fiji, joins GPH with extensive experience, including his recent position as Central Support Manager at Sourdough South Ltd in Hampshire, UK. With over 18 years in the food and beverage sector, he has contributed to several notable UK venues, including All Bar One, Turtle Bay, and Côte Brasserie in London and along the South Coast. He will be in charge of the overall management of the Food and Beverage department, with an emphasis on improving service quality and guest satisfaction.
Lachlan Walker, Portfolio General Manager of IHG Hotels & Resorts for FNPF-owned hotels, expressed confidence in the new appointments. He emphasized the hotel’s commitment to creating memorable experiences through exceptional dining, enhanced by Kanokwan’s culinary skills and Taione’s expertise in food and beverage operations.
