Graham Returns: Scotland’s Star Winger Set for Autumn Test Comeback!

Darcy Graham, the star winger, is set to make his long-awaited return to the Scotland national team on Sunday, marking his first appearance in over a year. Graham will be a key player in the experienced XV that will take on the FIJI Water Flying Fijians during the opening autumn Test at Murrayfield.

After not participating since Scotland’s World Cup defeat to Ireland in October 2023, Graham has been in fine form, contributing to five out of Edinburgh’s six matches this season. The rest of the squad comprises players exclusively from Glasgow and Edinburgh, as they are called up outside of the international window. This means prominent players like Finn Russell from Bath and Ben White from Toulon will not be available for selection.

In their stead, Adam Hastings will take on the fly-half role, with Ali Price stepping in as scrum-half and Kyle Rowe positioned at full-back. Glasgow centre Sione Tiupulotu will captain the team for the first time after his recent appointment.

Rowe, who is set for his seventh cap, is the sole player in the starting lineup with fewer than ten international appearances. Coach Gregor Townsend has assembled a squad that boasts significant Test experience. Among the substitutes, Glasgow stand-off Tom Jordan, the only uncapped player on the roster, could make his debut, while Edinburgh prop D’Arcy Rae, who has one cap, is also part of the bench.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:40 AM Fiji Time, promising an exciting showdown for fans.

This match presents a wonderful opportunity for Scotland to showcase their talent and depth, with a blend of established players and fresh faces. As Darcy Graham makes his return, fans will no doubt be eager to see how he rebounds after his absence and contributes to the team’s performance.
