Grace Road has responded to claims made by the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, Agni Deo Singh, who announced on Friday that his Ministry discovered “breaches” in Grace Road’s operations following a review.
In their statement, Grace Road asserted that they have not received any official notification regarding these allegations. The company emphasized that it employs over 800 local staff across various operations in Fiji, prioritizing the hiring of young people and women to promote gender equality through economic participation.
Grace Road expressed its commitment to providing job opportunities aimed at fostering rural development and ensuring balanced regional economic growth. The management underscored that they have always operated within the framework of existing laws and are dedicated to maintaining compliance with legal provisions. Furthermore, they expressed a willingness to collaborate with the Ministry to address any public concerns.
This situation highlights the importance of open communication and the need for transparency in corporate operations, especially when it involves public interest and community values. As Grace Road seeks to clarify the situation, it can be hoped that the dialogue will lead to a constructive resolution that strengthens their commitment to the community and enhances trust with regulatory authorities.
