GPH Welcomes New Culinary Titans to Elevate Dining Experience

The Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva has announced the appointment of Kanokwan Imprasittichai as the new executive chef and Taione Masuwale as the director of Food & Beverage.

Kanokwan Imprasittichai hails from Thailand and brings a distinguished 13-year career, during which she has held significant roles at prestigious establishments such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and Bistro by Wolfgang Puck in Sydney. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry along with specialized training in Traditional Thai Cooking and Asian Cookery, and will oversee the hotel’s culinary operations while leading a talented team of chefs to ensure top-notch food quality and presentation.

Taione Masuwale, a Fijian native, comes to GPH with extensive experience, having recently served as Central Support Manager at Sourdough South Ltd in Hampshire, UK. With over 18 years in the food and beverage sector, he has worked at notable UK venues, including All Bar One, Turtle Bay, and Côte Brasserie in London and along the South Coast. Masuwale will manage the Food and Beverage department, concentrating on improving service quality and guest satisfaction.

Lachlan Walker, Portfolio General Manager for IHG Hotels & Resorts at FNPF-owned hotels, expressed confidence in the team’s capabilities, stating, “With Kanokwan’s culinary talent and Taione’s operations expertise, we are confident they will create an exceptional dining experience that embodies our commitment to excellence.” The hotel aims to enhance its guest experiences while reflecting unique styles and fostering lasting memories.
