Govt Commitment Shines in Flood Recovery Efforts

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Professor Biman Prasad, has been actively engaging with communities impacted by recent floods stretching from Sigatoka to Rakiraki. His visit aimed to assess the damage inflicted by the severe weather and to provide necessary support to those affected.

During this visit, Professor Prasad was accompanied by local government officials as they toured the severely hit regions. He took time to meet with residents, community leaders, and emergency response teams, emphasizing the government’s dedication to both immediate relief and sustained assistance for the affected families.

“We are here to listen, support, and ensure a swift recovery,” he stated confidently. The Minister underscored the importance of collaboration with local leaders and humanitarian organizations to facilitate the much-needed recovery efforts.
