Government’s Commitment Shines in Flood Recovery Efforts

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, recently visited communities impacted by severe flooding, stretching from Sigatoka to Rakiraki. His purpose was to evaluate the extent of the damage and to provide support to those suffering from the adverse weather conditions.

During his visit, Professor Prasad was accompanied by local Government officials as they toured the devastated areas, engaged with residents, community leaders, and emergency response teams. He emphasized the Government’s dedication to providing immediate relief and continued assistance to the affected regions.

“We are here to listen, support, and ensure a swift recovery,” he remarked, underscoring the collaborative approach the Government plans to take. He confirmed their intent to work closely with local leaders and humanitarian organizations to deliver the necessary aid.
