Effective February 3, 2025, Dr. Raijeli Taga, who currently serves as the Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, will transition to the role of Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In her place, Dr. Lesikimacuata Korovavala, the existing Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will assume the position of Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, along with additional duties as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Immigration.
Additionally, Mr. Manasa Lesuma, who currently oversees the Ministry of Housing, will take on the role of Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Policing starting January 14, 2025.
This reshuffle follows a comprehensive review process and closely aligns with previous administrative changes announced by the PSC, which emphasized the importance of strategic appointments to steer ministries toward success in their future endeavors. Such initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to nurturing local talent and improving service delivery within the public sector.
