The Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially announced a reshuffle of three Permanent Secretaries, a strategic move that will take effect on February 3, 2025. This decision, made in consultation with the Prime Minister, is part of the government’s ongoing initiative to enhance leadership capabilities across critical ministries.
Chairman of the PSC, Luke Rokovada, stated that Dr. Raijeli Taga, the current Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, will transition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In her place, Dr. Lesikimacuata Korovavala will move from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Office of the Prime Minister, and will also assume the role of Acting Permanent Secretary for Immigration, reporting directly to the Minister of Immigration.
Additionally, Mr. Manasa Lesuma, currently the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Housing, will take on additional duties as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Policing, a role he began on January 14, 2025.
