Team Pro Pack emerged victorious in the Caritas Fiji Golf tournament sponsored by Fiji Airways at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club last Saturday. The team, comprised of Kishor Kumar, Inoke Bolakoro, Damien Sheridan, and Roneel Prakash, achieved a remarkable score of 56.125 points.
Damien Sheridan, who played golf for the first time, expressed his excitement about being part of the winning team, highlighting the inclusive atmosphere of the event.
Finishing in second place was Team Rariben, featuring Shelly Rariden from Michigan, Father Sigarara, and David Qiolevu, who gathered a score of 56.3 points. Rariden shared her appreciation for the welcoming staff and the beautiful course, noting that their positive experience in Fiji exceeded expectations and reflected the warm cultural community. She also mentioned their support for charity golf events back home.
Team Mali secured third place, with Nitulesh Mali, Avinesh Dutt, Shivneel Gounder, and Abid Hussain scoring 56.62 points.
Caritas Fiji director Arthur Groom expressed gratitude to Fiji Airways for sponsoring the second annual tournament. He emphasized that the proceeds will aid charitable initiatives to assist those in need within the community. Groom called on everyone to join hands in making a positive difference.
