The Shop N Save Supermarket has proudly sponsored the 93rd Lautoka Open Pro-AM Golf Championship, which is set to feature a record 100-plus golfers from Fiji and beyond. The tournament will kick off at 7 AM on Saturday at the Lautoka Golf Club, showcasing both professional and amateur talent.
Lautoka Golf Club captain James Krishna has noted the high level of competition expected at the event. “The fine weather has allowed the fairways and cart paths to be perfectly mowed, ensuring the course is in optimal condition for play,” Krishna stated.
This year, Shop N Save Supermarket is enhancing the championship by introducing additional prizes for 9 holes in both Gross and Nett Divisions, with special provisions for junior golfers. The Fiji PGA (Professional Golf Association) continues to be a reliable partner for the event, with President Vikrant Chandra facilitating the participation of 17 top professional golfers vying for a cash prize purse of $7,000.
Trustees chairman Raymond Singh has announced that there will be over 40 prizes available alongside sponsor-provided sublimated T-shirts and a delicious lovo lunch for all participants, emphasizing the supportive community spirit surrounding the event. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Neeshil Deo and Babu Rattan Deo of Shop N Save Supermarket for their eighth consecutive year of sponsorship.
