Hundreds of golden retrievers gathered in a park in Buenos Aires on Monday, as Argentina aimed to break the world record for the largest assembly of these beloved dogs in one location. This event, branded as the “Golden Wave,” transformed from a social media challenge into a remarkable mass gathering at the famed Bosques de Palermo park.

Fausto Duperre, the creator of the event, described the gathering as a historic moment, noting, “A gathering of this size has never been held before, and I believe breaking Vancouver’s record of 1,685 golden retrievers will be historic.” Duperre expressed optimism that the turnout would indeed surpass the previous record, estimating at least 2,000 dogs were present.
