“Golden Defenders: Fiji Men’s Rugby Sevens Team Ready for Olympic Showdown”

The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team received a warm welcome at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.

The Mayor of Libourne, Philippe Buisson, expressed pride and honor in hosting the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby.

“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” Buisson stated.

The team, coached by Osea Kolinisau, will be training in Libourne before moving to the Games Village ahead of the men’s sevens competition at the Paris Olympic Games, which starts on July 24.

The competition will pause on July 26 for the official opening of the Olympic Games, with the finals resuming on July 27.

Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team is scheduled to spend an hour with the public at the Moueix Stadium.
