The global community is currently facing unprecedented challenges such as poverty, violence, biodiversity loss, climate change, health issues, and development. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka shared these insights during the Forum Leaders Dialogue at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium alongside UN Secretary General António Guterres.
Rabuka highlighted that the diverse and pressing threats the world faces today underscore the necessity for collective action as the only feasible solution. He emphasized that strong international cooperation, diplomacy, and commitment to the principles of the United Nations are essential.
In response, UN Secretary General António Guterres reiterated the UN’s dedication to the Pacific Islands, assuring that every UN personnel in these nations is committed to community-based and people-centered solutions.
