The global community is facing unprecedented challenges including poverty, violence, loss of biodiversity, climate change, health crises, and development issues.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka conveyed these sentiments during the Forum Leaders Dialogue at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium, held in the presence of the UN Secretary General.

He noted that the range and urgency of these threats highlight significant global changes and emphasized that collective action is essential for effective solutions.

Rabuka stressed the importance of robust international cooperation, diplomacy, and commitment to the fundamental ideals of the United Nations.

UN Secretary General António Guterres affirmed the UN’s dedication to the Pacific Islands, assuring, “You can be positive that every member of the UN staff working in your countries will be committed to community-based and people-centered solutions.”
