The 49th edition of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament is set to launch next week, generating excitement among rugby enthusiasts. Lawrence Tikaram, the President of Marist 7s, has revealed that several international teams have expressed interest in participating in this three-day event.
The specifics regarding the 7s format and the registration deadlines for clubs will be shared during the launch. Notably, the Marist 7s is significant within the Fiji Bitter 7s series, as it offers the highest bonus points for winning teams.
In an effort to promote inclusivity and expand the competition, the tournament will also feature U-20 teams and women’s rugby, highlighting the commitment to fostering talent across all levels.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the HFC Stadium from March 27 to March 29, promising a thrilling experience for players and fans alike.
