Doctors at Gaza’s largest hospital have reported severe fuel shortages that are forcing them to take drastic measures, including placing multiple premature babies in single incubators. This is occurring as Israel continues its military operations in the region. Medical personnel are overwhelmed by the challenges and are warning that diminishing fuel supplies could lead to complete operational paralysis for healthcare facilities, which are already struggling due to the ongoing conflict.
Dr. Muneer Alboursh, the director general of the Gaza Ministry of Health, expressed concern that the fuel crisis is stripping patients of their fundamental right to medical care, effectively turning hospitals into “silent graveyards.” The Israeli military claims that around 160,000 liters of fuel have entered Gaza recently, but the distribution of this fuel is under the control of humanitarian organizations, not Israel.
