Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School and Nasinu Secondary School have secured their spots in the national quarter-finals of the Deans competition.
In the Southern Zone U18 semi-finals at Bidesi Park, Suva, MGM triumphed over Suva Grammar School with a score of 27-22, while Nasinu narrowly defeated Marist Brothers High School 24-22.
Despite Nasinu playing with 14 players for most of the first half and later with 13 after a second red card, they managed a hard-fought win.
Nasinu Secondary School will now face MGM in the final at the HFC Bank Stadium next Saturday.
In the Eastern Division, defending champions Queen Victoria School are set to go up against Ratu Kadavulevu School in the finals, following QVS’s 18-15 victory over Tailevu North College and RKS’s 15-15 tie with Lelean Memorial School.
