The G9 panel of Independent Members of Parliament has joined the People’s Coalition Government without any preconditions, as confirmed by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. He emphasized that the G9 committed to collaborating with the administration in the public interest during parliamentary discussions.

Rabuka expressed confidence in the G9’s members, especially highlighting Ioane Naivalurua, a former Police Commissioner, as a significant asset in his role as Minister for Policing. Minister for Climate Change and Environment, Mosese Bulitavu, reiterated that no terms or demands were made during their acceptance discussions, affirming a straightforward approach to joining the government.
