The G9 group of Independent Members of Parliament has officially joined Fiji’s People’s Coalition Government without any preconditions, as confirmed by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. In a parliamentary discussion, Rabuka highlighted the G9’s commitment to work collaboratively for the benefit of the citizens.

The inclusion of experienced G9 members is seen as a significant boost for the government’s strategic initiatives. Former Police Commissioner Ioane Naivalurua has been appointed as the Minister for Policing, while Viliame Naupoto will serve as the Minister for Immigration, and Mosese Bulitavu will take on the role of Minister for Climate Change.
